First Sergeant Rodriguez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina for recruit training on 9 March 2009. Private Rodriguez graduated with Platoon 3270, Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion on 5 June 2009. Upon completion of recruit leave, Private Rodriguez reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. Upon graduating from Marine Combat Training, Private Rodriguez reported to the Personnel Administration School, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he graduated as the "Honor Graduate" and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Private First Class.
On 29 August 2009, Private First Class Rodriguez reported to Headquarters and Service Battalion, Headquarters Marine Corps, Henderson Hall, Arlington, Virginia where he was assigned the billet of Personnel Clerk. Private First Class Rodriguez was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal on 1 April 2010 and later promoted to the rank of Corporal on 1 May 2011 and assigned as the Headquarters and Support Battalion Color Sergeant.
On 16 April 2013, Corporal Rodriguez reported to Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron-3, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, San Diego, California as an Administrative Specialist. Corporal Rodriguez was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on 1 May 2013. Sergeant Rodriguez deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan on 6 January 2014 with Marine Aircraft Group-Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. During this deployment, Sgt Rodriguez served as the Administrative Chief for Marine Aircraft Group-Afghanistan where he was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Upon returning from deployment on 24 November 2014, Sergeant Rodriguez received orders to Drill Instructor School, San Diego, California.
Sergeant Rodriguez reported to Drill Instructor School, San Diego, California on 7 April 2015. Upon graduating from Drill Instructor School, Sergeant Rodriguez was assigned to Company E, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California as a Drill Instructor. Sergeant Rodriguez was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant on 1 November 2016 and obtained the billet of Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor. For his outstanding performance during his special duty assignment, Staff Sergeant Rodriguez was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant on 2 June 2018.
On 24 July 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Rodriguez reported to Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, Detachment Tampa, Florida where he served as the Detachment Staff Non-commissioned Officer in Charge for two years. Gunnery Sergeant Rodriguez received Permanent Change of Assignment orders and instructed to report to Marine Corps Forces Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida on 2 October 2020. While assigned to Marine Corps Forces Central Command, Gunnery Sergeant Rodriguez served as the Staff Non-commissioned Officer in Charge of the Consolidated Personnel Administration Center.
On 23 October 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Rodriguez reported to Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Installation Pacific, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan. During this assignment, Gunnery Sergeant Rodriguez served as the Staff Non-commissioned Officer in Charge, Outbound Branch, Installation Personnel Administration Center. Gunnery Sergeant Rodriguez was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant on 15 December 2022 and was assigned to 3d Maintenance Battalion on 15 December 2022 where he served as Company First Sergeant, Ammunition Company.
On 20 December 2023, First Sergeant Rodriguez received Permanent Change of Assignment orders to 12th Marine Littoral Regiment where he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader for Communications Company, Headquarters Company, and is currently serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of 12th Littoral Anti-Air Battalion.
First Sergeant Rodriguez's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold start in lieu of fourth award and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars in lieu of third award.
