From Hayti, Missouri, Lieutenant Colonel White was commissioned in 2009. Following graduation from The Basic School and the Infantry Officer Course, he reported to 1st Battalion, 3d Marines, 3d Marine Division. While assigned to the battalion, he deployed as a Rifle Platoon Commander in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Garmsir, Afghanistan, and later as a Company Executive Officer during a Unit Deployment Program rotation to Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan.
In July 2013, Lieutenant Colonel White was promoted to Captain and reported to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia. While assigned there, he led the scouting and patrolling package and served as a Staff Platoon Commander for two Basic Officer Courses.
In 2016, Lieutenant Colonel White reported to 3d Battalion, 8th Marines, where he served as the Assistant Operations Officer during a Unit Deployment Program rotation to Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan. Upon returning from deployment, he assumed command of Company K. As the division's designated cold weather company, Company K conducted multiple cold weather training exercises in Bridgeport, California, and Alaska before deploying to Norway in support of Marine Rotational Force–Europe from October 2018 to April 2019. Upon returning from Norway, Lieutenant Colonel White was promoted to Major and assumed duties as the Battalion Operations Officer. In that role, he completed an additional Unit Deployment Program rotation to Okinawa. Following the deployment, he remained with the battalion as the Officer in Charge until the deactivation of 3d Battalion, 8th Marines in April 2021.
In June 2021, Lieutenant Colonel White reported to Marine Corps Command and Staff College, where he graduated as a Distinguished Graduate. In July 2022, he reported to Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group in Twentynine Palms, California. During his tour, he served as the Unit Training Course Officer in Charge, Advanced Maneuver Warfare Course Officer in Charge, and Ground Combat Element Commander's Course Officer in Charge.
In July 2025, Lieutenant Colonel White reported to 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division, where he served as the Regimental Operations Officer. On June 11, 2026, Lieutenant Colonel White assumed command of 12th Littoral Combat Team, 12th Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division.
