Sergeant Major Haro was born on 24 November 1987 in Juchipila Zacatecas, Mexico. He was raised in West Wendover, NV and enlisted in the Marine Corps and attend recruit training in May 2007 aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA. Upon completion of recruit training he received orders attended Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry-West, Camp Pendleton, CA. After completion of Marine Combat Training Sergeant Major Haro attended Personnel Administration School in Camp Johnson, NC where he attained his Primary Military Occupation Skill (MOS) of 0121, Personnel Administration Clerk.
In December of 2007, Sergeant Major Haro reported to the Group Personnel Administration Center, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton, CA. While there he was promoted to Private First Class and served as an Administrative Clerk. In February 2008 First Sergeant Haro was reassigned to the Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC) Outbound Section, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA where he served as an orders clerk. In November of 2009, Sergeant Major Haro reported to I MEF Fwd, Camp Pendleton, CA and deployed in March of 2010 as part of the G1, I MEF Fwd to Camp Leatherneck Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was promoted to the rank Corporal in April 2010 and served as the Admin Reach Back Cell NCOIC. Upon redeployment he was assigned back to IPAC, Outbound Section where he became the Orders NCOIC.
In April 2011, Sergeant Major Haro received orders and reported to Marine Aviation Training Support Group 22, Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, TX. Where he was assigned to the S-1 and served as the NCOIC. In May of 2011 he attended the Intermediate Administrative Specialist Course at Camp Johnson, NC where he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
In June of 2014, Sergeant Major Haro attended Drill Instructor School aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA. Upon graduation he obtained the Military Occupation Skill 0911 and was assigned to Company B, 1st Recruit Training Battalion where he served as a Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. In December 2015 he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and was assigned to Special Training Company, Support Battalion where he served as Senior Drill Instructor, Platoon Sergeant of Basic Marine Platoon and the Special Training Company Chief Drill Instructor.
In September of 2017, Sergeant Major Haro reported to 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, Twentynine Palms, CA, where he was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, S1 and served as the Battalion Administrative Chief and Adjutant. In January 2018 he attend the Force Fitness Instructor Course aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. On 1 January 2019 Sergeant Major Haro was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant. In March 2019 he deployed with the battalion as part of the Ground Combat Element in support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force CR-CC 19.2. In May of 2020, Sergeant Major Haro reported back to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego to serve as a second tour drill instructor. Upon completion of the Prior Drill Instructor Course he was assigned to Company L, 3rd Battalion where he served as Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor. After completing three training cycles he was selected to serve at Drill Instructor School West were he filled the rolls of Squad Instructor, Force Fitness Instructor, Uniform Instructor and Chief Instructor. Sergeant Major Haro was frocked to First Sergeant on 3 March 2023.
On 4 March 2023, Sergeant Major Haro reported in to Headquarters Company, 1st Marine Regiment where he served as as the Headquarters Company Senior Enlisted Leader. On January 2024, Sergeant Major Haro was transferred to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines to serve as the Senior Enlisted Leader for Company C. In May 2024 he deployed with Company C to Okinawa, Japan in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit 24.2 patrol. He redeployed back to Camp Pendleton in November of 2024. Upon return from Okinawa he received orders to 3d Intel Battalion, III MIG, Okinawa, Japan and reported for duty as the Senior Enlisted Leader for Battlespace Surveillance Company on 12 July 2025.
In May 2026, Sergeant Major Haro was promoted to his current rank and reported to 12th Littoral Combat Team, where he currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Haro's personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars and Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
