Marines with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, move under the cover of darkness during a training assault exercise on a village at Fort Bliss, Texas, April 28, 2014. Marines moved into position under the cover of night over tough terrain to conduct an assault on the village in order to eliminate enemy forces occupying it. The village was key to future operations in the area and allowed control of Route Grey, a main route for coalition operations in the area.

A CH-47 Chinook, with the 1st Battalion, -501st Aviation Regiment, 1st Armored Division, 2nd Brigade Combat Team picks up 1,000 pounds of tires during a training exercise with 2nd Combat Logistics Regiment at the Dona Anna training area on Fort Bliss, Texas, April 7, 2014. The Army air unit and Marines performed a total of five lifts; one with a Humvee and four with the tires. The Humvee was a simple elevator lift, picking the cargo straight up and setting it down and the tires were flown in a pattern around the training area.
